YOUTH WITH A MISSION (YWAM)
is an international, interdenominational missions organization
committed to raising up young people in missions.
I am working with the
DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL (DTS): the door into the mission. The
DTS is is a six month course, all about getting to know God, and
making Him known. The first three months is Lecture Phase with
teaching on topics such as Nature & Character of God, Relationships,
Missions, and Cross-Cultural Communication. The next three months is
Outreach Phase, reaching out with Gods love in a cross-cultural
setting.
This year I have stepped
into the role of DTS director, leading the DTS department of our
base in Muizenberg (a suburb of Cape Town). Over 2007 we will run
six DTS’s, including the Urban focus DTS in Guguletu, a nearby
township.
I love working with YWAM,
because, as an organization, we seek to disciple and release people
into His vision for their lives. I have the privilege of working
alongside people giving their lives continually to God, as He works
in and through them.
